Aidan Turner Online

A casting company has put out a call for extras for shooting around the south west and Bristol which can only mean one thing – POLDARK!

Series 4 is about to begin filming around the region so we may see Aidan Turner et al back in Frome, Wells, Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol and who knows where this autumn?

Series 4 sees Ross Poldark taking on London as a Cornwall MP, so where will the location scouts have in mind for the city as it would have looked in the late 1700s/early 1800s?

Film Cast Cornwall & SW put out a call on Bank Holiday Monday to those already registered with it and was asking for “lean and long haired Cornwall based extras who are registered and have worked before with FCC&SW will be needed again in September”.

Now 2020 Casting is looking for people who have easy access to the south west to come on board for “a returning TV series”.

Perhaps you have relatives in Cornwall who you could stay with during filming?

They need males and females over 16 years old, who are lean and don’t have dyed/modern hairstyles.

Men must have long hair at least 3 inches on top and 1 inch on the sides. (Beards are desirable)

Women will need to have shoulder length or longer hair and it must be of a natural colour – no dyes.

If you are already registered with 2020Casting then you will automatically be shortlisted – but you must ensure that photos and measurements are all up to date.

If you are NOT on 2020’s books, register at and they will be in touch with you if you are suitable.

“Poldark’ Season 3 concluded on a touching note last month. Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) was seen reuniting with her husband, Ross Poldark (#Aidan Turner) after a secret, romantic rendezvous with Lieutenant Hugh Armitage (Josh Whitehouse). Just as when the fans were wondering as to whether this marks the end of the road for “Poldark” TV series, producers announced that the show’s next instalment is underway.

As reported by Express, production company Mammoth Screen took to their official Instagram account to post a series of teasers, hinting a new “Poldark” season. In one particular image, the entire cast of the show was seen sitting around the table.

The 360-degree image even consisted of Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson – the most looked-up-to couple on television. Fans can check out more images on Mammoth Screen’s official Instagram account.

Another report by Mobipicker claims that the fifth season will now focus on Ross’ objective of establishing a firm ground in politics. Towards the beginning of the fourth season, right after being cheated by his wife, Ross was shattered. After much persuasion, he decided to work towards his life-long goal of contributing for his nation. Soon enough, he became the people’s hero and started getting more involved in the greater good. The season spiralled off to his romantic relationship with disloyal wife, Demelza, therefore; his political career took a backseat.

According to a report by Digital Spy, Aidan Turner recently confirmed that the filming of “Poldark” season 5 [VIDEO]is scheduled to begin in #September.

He further stated that the cast and crew members had been summoned to arrive in the South West region of Cornwall, England. Therefore, it is safe to assume that the filming is going to take place in England. He also stated that they would be travelling throughout the filming of the entire season, visiting places like Wiltshire, Bristol and Somerset.

#Season 4 will be seen taking on actors like Christian Brassington (Reverend Osborne Whitworth), Ruby Bentall (Verity Blamey), Elise Chappel (Morwenna Whitworth), Sean Gilder (Tholly Tregirls), Jack Farthing (George Warleggan), Luke Norris (Dr. Dwight Enys) apart from the main characters, Aidan Turner [VIDEO](Ross Poldark) and Eleanor Tomlinson (Demelza Poldar).

The showrunners are apparently ardent about getting the fourth season ready this year itself so that they could officially premiere it in the summer of 2018.

Poldark stars Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson’s new movie — which claims to be the first fully painted feature film — is getting its UK premiere at the National Gallery.

The pair are among the cast for Loving Vincent, an animated movie about the life and death of Van Gogh.

The actors, who also include Helen McCrory and Saoirse Ronan, play characters brought to life from some of the painter’s most famous works.

Tomlinson, best known as Demelza in the hit BBC drama, plays Adeline Ravoux, a young woman who was painted by Van Gogh while her innkeeper father helped care for him in the weeks before his death in 1890.

Turner stars as a boatman inspired by the Dutch artist’s portrait of a young peasant, and Ronan and McCrory play two of the many other subjects of his paintings.

More than 100 artists signed up to work on the project, which involved hand-painting thousands of oils which formed the basis of the film.

Loving Vincent will be shown at the BFI London Film Festival on October 9. The festival said the screening of the “inventive, visually arresting film” would also be broadcast live in cinemas across the country.

Poldark season 4For those interested in some early Poldark season 4 filming milestones, you are not forced to wait all that long!

In a new post on Facebook (see below), you can see in the most innovative way the entire cast and producers together to read through the first script for the upcoming premiere episode! If you move your mouse around, you can see via a 360-degree view everyone from Aidan Turner to the remainder of the cast. This is a fun way to set up what should be a rather remarkable batch of episodes, and a very important one when it comes to the development of Ross Poldark the man.

So why is filming taking place so soon after season 3 finished airing in the UK, and before season 3 even starts airing in America? Well, much of this just has to do with the way in which filming for the show is timed out. These are the conditions that the Poldark cast and crew are familiar with, and it’s easier schedule-wise for them to do roughly the same thing every year. The show can be done with season 4 filming by late winter/early spring, and that gives the cast the time to take on another project here and there before filming starts again … provided that it does. The expectation is that Poldark will get one more season at least; whether or not season 5 would be the final season, meanwhile, still remains to be seen. It is something that Turner has suggested in the past as a possibility since there may not be as much for the cast and crew to do by the time that it’s over.

So what’s coming up on season 4? For those of you who have read the Winston Graham novels, you have a little bit more in the way of insight on this; otherwise, you can probably still predict based on recent trajectory that this is going to be one of the most political seasons for the show. We will see Ross doing more to help the people of Cornwall in the government, and his relationship with Demelza will likely evolve in its own way. Even though she was with Hugh Armitage briefly at the end of season 3, our anticipation is that this was a one-time moment rather than an affair that is going to start to spiral out of control.

When will Poldark season 4 premiere?

The BBC is not one to announce premiere dates early; heck, they do sometimes wait until the very last minute to do this sort of thing. We therefore anticipate that there will be a premiere date for Poldark named in the late spring; our feeling is that it will be back in the summer in the UK. This timeslot worked wonderfully for the series, at least in terms of ratings and getting its own chance to shine.
